Welcome to Walker Elementary School. We are looking forward to an exciting and successful school year!  

We encourage all parents to be involved in their child's education. When visiting the school please report directly to the school office for a pass. We encourage you to check with your child's teacher for lunch times so that you may join them for lunch occasionally.

About Us

Walker Elementary is located in Samantha, Alabama. Walker has been called Tuscaloosa County's hidden treasure. We have almost 700 Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

• Parents are a vital part of life at Walker. They help with many worthwhile and enriching activities for our students. We appreciate our awesome parents.

•  Agenda Books-Your child's agenda book will be your source of daily communication with your child's teacher. Please review the agenda nightly, read teacher notes and sign your name indicating that you have seen your child's assignments.

Important Reminders

   Please administer all medications for your child at home when possible. If medication must be administered at school, whether over-the-counter or doctor prescribed, the proper forms must be filled out and returned. Prescribed medication forms must be filled out by your physician.

No medication will be administered until all the proper forms are on file with the school.

   A note must be sent to change your child's transportation in the afternoon. We cannot accept change of transportation over the phone. The school fax number is (205) 333-5491.
